There were two movies originally, The Night Stalker and The Night Strangler. Kolchak, the Night Stalker became a weekly, hour long, tv show for a year or two. The main character is a newspaper reporter for an independent paper in Chicago (there's that city again) and he investigated paranormal news which always ends up getting him involved in the actual events he's reporting on.

They tried to redo the show back a few years ago, but it was not the best.
The original series is quite dated, but still very interesting and a lot of fun.

Here is the opening:

In this clip, Kolchak is trying to stop a werewolf on a singles cruise, lol. You may recognize some of the actors.

Okay, so I'm the only one who watches reruns online.

It's still a good show.

Man, I need to get back into the movie groove.

fidelis wrote:Have you tried downloading and installing Java separately? or are you just letting the PMS installer try to download? i think the download address written into the PMS installer is incorrect, so i would try to download and install it separately then try to install PMS

Ok did that and it worked. But now my problem is that the video is slow and jerky.. like the buffering is too slow... I can't figure out how to change this. what do you do?
Mind you my PS3 is using my wireless router to "transfer" the file and I have stopped all other downloads and what not to make it better but it isn't WORKING!!!!!!

how old is the router? what type of file are you trying to stream? how big is the file? is it HD? have you tried running a wired connection?

unfortunately at this stage I would only be guessing. oh and have you tried streaming a different file?

I have never had a problem like that before so i am a little lost as to what it might be... i think i might have had similar problems ages ago with certain MKV files but lately they have been running smooth so i am not sure... and i have NEVER had a problem with an avi file to date.

try running a network test on the PS3 and tell me what your up and download speeds are, maybe the router is causing a bottleneck...

So many critics try to compare the movie with the original tv show (and movies) but one must look at it with a fresh eye.
At least that's my opinion.
