I think she does. She is a member of the Society, though we haven't talked her into setting up an account here on the forums yet. ;)

To think I used to call myself a geek!

I only just found out about the guild a few weeks ago.
As someone who's over warcraft it's good to be able to laugh at the friend of mine who is addicted. She is definatly a 'Vork' type player. She'll only stop playing to pickup/drop her kids off at school and every single move is planned a thousand steps in advance.

Geez, I guess I shouldn't worry about myself then. I hear all the gamer horror stories of suicides and locking themselves in room with their PC for weeks on end but I actually go days without even logging in because I'm too busy IRl. I used to think I had an adictive personality but I was either wrong about that or I got over it. ;)

I had to pause halfway through. Even my very developed geek language database was having a hard time deciphering that.

I especially was fond of the opening monologue cause so feel that way about having you guys. :) and ditto on the "It's so much easier to measure life in experience points" lol.

Okay, translation for non-gamers: *BEWARE OF SPOILERS*

===============================================

Interior, Codex’s Opening Monologue.

Opening Credits.

Interior, Cheesy Beards. After Owning Bladezz (See episode 9), The Guild members are still sitting at a table opposite the entrance when Zaboo’s mother walks in the door. Bolstered by their success with Bladezz, Codex decides to confront her.

Zaboo:
Yeah, there is no way. She breast fed me until I was 11. So, um… Yeah, there is no escape.

Reaction of Shock from Clara, look of disgust from Tinkerballa

Tinkerballa:
11?

Vork, with hesitance:
She is a formidable opponent.

Vork, with enthusiasm:
But this could be a great group building exercise!
Attacks?
(In planning a group raid, it is important to know what special attacks and/or skills your target posses. Here, Vork is seeking info about Zaboo’s mother in anticipation of a plan of attack)

Codex:
An acid tongue and a mean right hook so stay alert.

(Here Codex references the acid tongue as if it were a charm, special attack or spell that can cause physical damage when attacked)

Clara:
Potions, Out and Ready.
(referred to as BUFFS, potions and spells that can be taken to increase player stats are often either used prior to battle or put in an easy to access location such as primary backpack or ‘hotkey’ for use during battle. In this instance, she is also referring to the alcoholic beverage she is consuming)

Codex:
Let’s make the pull.

(This refers to the act of luring a MOB/NPC into a battle on your terms, either pulling out of an area that could ‘aggro’ and draw the attention of other npcs or getting the upper hand on causing high initial damage. Because a group is comprised of different classes of fighters, typically a ‘Tank’ or ‘Meat Shield’ will do the ‘pull’ The tank is usually someone with low magic skills but high melee attack and defense. This tank will continue to draw damage or ‘agro’ in order to protect the weaker members of the party. Typically, magic users such as the group ‘healer’ will have a very low defense and have to remain behind the battle where they are in range to heal party members but out of range of the target’s agro or aggression.)

Zaboo:
Wait, why are we doing this?

After pause, Codex:
She called me homely.

Others exchange looks and then get up to confront Zaboo’s mother. After a brief pause, Zaboo:
Man up!

Zaboo goes to join the others who surround his mother.

Zaboo’s Mother, with force:
Surjay (sp?) I have missed 3 pilates sessions with this latest escapade of yours. Get in the car and let’s go.

Codex:
Mrs. Goldburg, Zaboo has something to say to you.

Zaboo’s mother, with leer:
You again? Surjay (sp?), can’t you see, your babies would be so ugly.

Zaboo takes a deep breath and tries be forceful:
Mom, I’m not…(hesitates, visibly deflates) interested (pause) in (continues haltingly) Joining you (pauses as Codex nods in agreement, Zaboo’s mom gives a look of death.) At this juncture. (smoke exudes from Zaboo’s mother’s nostrils) Very much.

Zaboo’s mother, voice raised:
Excuse me!

Flames burst in her eyes and her right eyebrow twitches, deflating Zaboo’s resistance.

Zaboo:
Forget it. (laughs nervously) I’m coming. Joked. Okay. Let’s get some frosties.

Codex mutters No and tries to hold Zaboo back. She looks up to Vork who intercedes.

Vork:
Madame, Zaboo is on record. He does not wish to go home with you. I can notarize a statement in writing. I am licensed and have my own seal. I carry it on my person always.

Zaboo’s mother:
I’m Sorry but this is a family issue. Your bald authority means nothing to me.
(As if in game, this is seen as the Acid Tongue special attack against Vork, meaning that attacks are presently focused on him and it is safe for others to begin their attacks)

Tinkerballa:
Vork has passive aggressive agro. Dps begin. (Damager Per Second)

Clara:
But she’s so pretty.

(response of shock from Codex as if Clara just blocked an attack or misfired a spell on Zaboo’s mom, with stern look)

I mean Ugly. Ulchg. No wonder Zaboo wants to leave you. (whispers to Zaboo’s mother) I like your dress.

(codex and Tinkerballa are not happy with Clara’s response but Zaboo smiles untl his mother responds)

Zaboo’s Mother:
How many unemployed people have you arranged to gang up on me?

Clara:
Look, your son doesn’t want to live with you anymore. Duh. A real mom doesn’t smother her kids. Heck, they can live alone at 15. I did my research, anyways, if you love him just listen! Oh! I’m out of mana! (rests head on hand. This being a reference to the energy resource called upon to perform magic spells and special skills/attacks. It can only be replenished with time or potions and in classes that require mana for most of their skills, they become relatively helpless without mana)

Vork:
Nice damage, Clara.

Codex:
He just wants to live his own life. You can understand that, right?

Zaboo’s mom, changing tactics:
You started all of this. How dare you try to steal my son.

Codex:
But I bu.. bu… (stamers as Acid tongue attack continues) I wasn’t …

Zaboo’s mom:
You wasn’t what? Able to put together a decent outfit! Wax your little mustache?

(Codex, visibly shaken)

Tinkerballa:
Hey, Get off our healer. She’s squishy.
(most healer classes do not have a high armor rating. The more magic abilities you have, the lower armor rating you tend to have and vice versa.)

Zaboo’s mother to Tinkerballa who stands between Zaboo and his mother:
Out of the way, you!

Tinkerballa:
I’m immune to poison, Lady Face Lift.

(Zaboo’s mom reacts with shock)

Zaboo:
Ah, yikes. Nasty Crit. (This most likely refers to critical damage, meaning that the wound inflicted by Tinkerballa’s attack cause high dps)

Zaboo’s Mother:
Surjay (sp?), I’m just trying to protect you. Every time you run away with one of these ‘online’ woman, I have to come get you.

Codex:
Every time? (realizing that she is not the first person Zaboo has ‘cyberstalked’)

(Zaboo shrugs and acknowledges that yes, he’s had issues)

Zaboo’s mother:
Come home with me. (turns on ‘guilt’ special attack, targeted at Zaboo). Don’t abandon me like your father did.

Zaboo:
Mom. Dad had a heart attack.

Zaboo’s mother:
Out of spite. He at all that fatty food on purpose. Please, son. *sobs* You’re all I have left. (extends hands and attempts to mez or mesmerize Zaboo to do her bidding. Magic spell effects are visible)

Visibly effected by beams of energy entering his head, Zaboo;
Awe….. don’t cry. Eh… Brain melting.

Codex:
No, Zaboo. It’s your life. You don’t have to live it for her.

Zaboo:
Yeah, I know but she’s my mommy!

Clara:
She’s got him mind controlled. Do something, Vork!

In deadpan, Vork:
Woman… tears… paralyzed

(Clara looks helplessly at Vork as Codex holds Zaboo back from going to his mother. Suddenly, Bladezz appears between them, arms raised in an attempt to get agro from Zaboo’s mother)

Bladezz:
Zaboo’s mom, Chill. A MILF as hot as you can find another son. Hell, I’ll volunteer and you can spank me or bathe me or what evs.

Zaboo’s Mom, with sarcasm:
Well, thank you but I don’t want another son and my son doesn’t want another mother.

Bladezz:
Oh, yeah? He tried to suicide because of you. No screen shot but trust me, it happened. (Players have the option to taking a screen capture in game during events they want to share or remember or study or just goof off. It’s fun to mocap yourelf jumping to your death sometimes.. take my word for it. ;) )

Zaboo’s Mother, eyes bulging:
Is this true?

Zaboo, Hesitantly:
Yeah. You kind of inspired it.

Tinkerballa:
Ouch

Zaboo’s mom responds in physical shock.

Vork:
She’s stunned, heal him up Codex. (When a tank or agro holding player is being damaged quicker then the healers can heal, stunning the NPC for several seconds give an opportunity to repair enough damage to push the fight back into your favor)

Codex places her hand on Zaboo’s shoulder:
Zaboo, you can tell her. We’re here for you.

After a few moments, Zaboo’s health and stamina are repaired enough for final confrontation of the boss. Zaboo nods.

Zaboo:
Mom, I’m tired of you treating me like a little kid, okay? I’m an adult and I’d like to be able to read my porn where ever I want, in the living room, during lunch okay So… (Tinkerballa gets a look of disgust, Vork nods in agreement with Zaboo, Codex watches with concern) just look. I love you but dad was right. You can be a real crazy bi… (look from mother makes him change mid-word) Lady. Okay. So. I’m not going home with you.

Look of shock, hurt and horror spread across Zaboo’s mother’s face. Her eyes roll back in her head and she reaches for her forehead, passes out. As she hits the floor, the members of the guild react with shock.

Clara:
She’s down!

Vork, Zaboo and Codex laugh. Suddenly, Zaboo’s mother stands back up with an evil grin on her face. Dusting of her shoulder with a single swipe, intimidates the guild.

With Acid tongue attack, Zaboo’s mother: Don’t bother changing your mind. I’ve always wanted a sewing room. (Turns and leaves)

Clapping and cheering from Guild.

Codex:
Yes, did you see what we did guys? Socially maladjusted my butt.

Tinkerballa:
Shyah We totally knocked her into menopause.

(high fives Codex)

Zaboo reaches for high five, misses. Zaboo:
Yeah, Owned. (Breathes hesitantly)
Just a sec guys. (runs after mother)

Codex:
Zaboo, no!

Zaboo:
Hey Mom! Do I get the Baja?

(Sound of Mean Right Hook attack)

Vork:
Ooof!

(Various giggles from guild as Zaboo comes back upstairs holding his face)

Exterior, Outside Cheesy Beards. Guild watches Zaboo’s mother drive away.

Zaboo:
She gone?

Vork:
Yeah, for now but remember: Every boss has a respawn timer. (Because bosses are typically the end of a quest, bosses will reload in game within a set time after it’s death for other players to complete their quest)

Tinkerballa:
Speaking of Spawn, Clara, where are your kids?

(in Episode 9, we see that Tinkerballa has been babysitting while Clara was attending a pole dancing class. She returns Clara’s children to her in the restaurant and we see Clara releasing them to play on the floor while they carry out their plot to Own Bladezz.)

Clara:
Oh yeah! (nods) Right. (looks away)

To Bladezz, Zaboo:
Hey, thanks for coming in stealth there, buddy.

Bladezz:
No prob. I’m sorry I was all deushey to you guys. It’s just hard being exploited because I’m all hot and stuff. I just kind of took out on you guys.

Vork:
I guess we could call your inbox clean. You fought well for the guild.

Bladezz:
Yeah, too bad she didn’t drop any loot.

Zaboo:
She dropped some loot for Codex. (puts arm around Codex)

(Codex begins to say ‘what’, looking confused but then realized what he meant as he rests his head on her shoulder with a smile and sighs.

Codex;
OOOH Shi….

Well, I watched it...it's amusing, but not really that funny. Characters are too much over the top and the humor is too subtle for me...but it's a nice idea nontheless.
