Yes, we now know RDA will be on Universe and Gary Jones, too. Wouldn't it be stellar if both Amanda and Michael made an appearance, toooooo.

Hopefully the can mount a rescue mission to save Stargate Worlds.....

i honestly can't see why they don't. Disappointing isn't it. they all could make a tiny little sum out of it if they did it with their own personla fortunes. Well maybe not Amanda, cos she's got sanctuary and maybe not chris or michael either cos aren't the producing their own series? Raging Angels i think it is?

I liked it.
Geek: slang term, noting individuals as "a peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who is perceived to be overly obsessed with one or more things including those of intellectuality, electronics, etc." Formerly, the term referred to a carnival performer often billed as a wild man whose act usually includes biting the head off a live chicken, bat, snake or bugs. The 1976 edition of the American Heritage Dictionary included only the definition regarding geek shows.

It definitely doesn't feel like Stargate but it's not quite BSG either. I'm interested in seeing more but I'm not hooked yet. Then again, it took me time to get into SGA, too.

Phew glad most of you feel the same way as me...I can't yet identify with this series...SG1 & SGA had me from day , but although this isn't necessarily a bad series, it isn't Stargatey enough yet...

I like Rush & Young, no one else has really got my attention...Lt. Scott is trying way too hard to be the series 'Kirk' and he sure as hell ain't no Sheppard!!

Love the music though, that really makes up for it and I love the ship, how it had a mind of its own, if you get what I'm saying...

I really like Young, I think. He reminds me of Chokotay on Star Trek Voyager. I like that Rush is ambiguous and I love Eli! Scott is just an average guy at this point so I have no strong feelings towards him one way or the other except for what I felt was an action in poor taste considering the opening scene of the first episode. It is a great ship and great music. The stories are interesting but not compelling yet. I am interested to find out the history of Young and Johansen. I'm sure there is a story there...

On a side note, I wonder if this means Black Canary won't be appearing on Smallville this season (heard but not seen) considering Alaina Huffman appears to be in 20 episodes of SGU this season. Then again, the did just wrap for the season (I think) and Smallville is still only 1/3 of the way through filming so maybe we get to see her late in the season.

Hubby can't stand Rush...and I am on the fence. Eli adds great commentary and comic relief, which every show has. I am having a hard time with Young...he makes so many in accurate decisions for his rank, boggles my mind. Now I am not saying that the characters of O'Neil and Sheppard were even remotely pulling it off either...but I don't know. It seems Young's character kinda flip flops...and I am pretty sure there had/has to be something going on between Young and Johansen.

As for Scott, at this point...UGH! Same for Chole!

Sigh...

Oh I totally agree about Young and Johanson!!! Got to be something :bounce: Glad you both see it too!!

I think the point is you aren't supposed to like Rush??

Chloe drives me insane, can't stand her right now...
Lt. James would be okay if she had more to do...

The thing about the decisions they make (Young, O'Neill, Sheppard) is that a lot of them are based on situations that are outside of the usual parameters of things they're used to dealing with, many of the situations are unique so they don't have a set guide to fall back on, a lot of it has to do with common sense and the ability to judge accurately and responsibly for that particular situation with awareness to the possible devastating consequences should they fail to make the right decision.

That kinda made sense...er, lets take situations where in SGA they constantly cross the line of what the I.O.A would call a correct decision for any given circumstance, Sheppard would have to prove that the situation was beyond the 'text book' kind of situation, that it was unique and therefore he had to use his own 'better judgment' after he'd assessed the situation logically.

Anyway, carry on...

Ooh. Cool. Hmm. Wonder how that would work on Smallville considering she and Ollie haven't hooked up yet (In the comic books, The Green Arrow and Black Canary get married).

Ok, who watched tonight?

All I have to say is I knew it...first 2 mins of the show...however, I am a little wigged out with some of the things that happened later, while using the stones, but all I'll say for now, till you all see it and start commenting...

Futurama reference Aaron

I love Lou Diamond Phillips and they've made a good bad guy character out of him...I'm totally loving Young and Rush more since watching Earth...

The opposite for Chloe, totally didn't convince me in the car scene with her crying, coz she can't act...imho

O'Neill was a bit of a disappointment...
