The Fall

Here's the place to discuss science fiction and fantasy films, plus their characters, actors, and crew.

The Fall

New postby Victoria Winters » Fri May 23, 2008 2:52 pm

The Fall is an independant sort of adult fairy tale/adventure movie originally done in Imax. I get the email newsletter from the antique Tampa Theater movie house and they are going to be showing it in June. I was able to see the trailer and it looks absolutely great. I may have to make the 120 mile trip to watch it, seeing as they don't show cool stuff like that here in Ft. Myers. Have any of you seen this already? Is it worth the trip? I'd have to spend the night there and everything. Probably make a visit to the Castle after the show to round out the evening. Any info about the film would be helpful, thank you.

It LOOKS amazing! And it's staring the guy from Pushing Daisies!!

I saw a preview a while back but it never played in my area. I read up on it and it looks awesome. I can't wait for it to come out on DVDs so I can add it to my collection. :geek:

Guess what I saw a few days ago!!!!!!!! I had to rent the darn thing, but finally got to see The Fall!! If any of you get to finally see this, I suggest you do on a big screen tv if possible. I saw it on a 24" square crt and though the film did not lose anything for me in it's wide screen format, I would have prefered to be drawn into it further.

The Fall is filmed in a very realistic hospital setting in the early 1920',s and in the mind of a 6 year old girl. There are times I am reminded of the vastness of the desert in Lawrence of Arabia and of Echner drawings. At other times a simple perfect little detail outshines everything. It is a story designed to manipulate and before it is over, you will cry for them all, for you too are manipulated until the very end where a...............

That's the most I can give without spoilers dear friends. :D
