Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3

Here's the place to discuss games with a science fiction or fantasy theme – board games, card games, LARPs, RPGs, online games, PC games, and games played on systems such as PlayStation, Wii, Xbox, etc.

Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3

Which do u think is better. In my opinion it is the 360.

(lets get it on!!)

Own the 360 and used to own PS2...but have yet to play on the PS3...so I am currently undecided.

We've got an Xbox and my son has been wanting a PS2 since he returned from his visit to his father's house this summer but I can't imagine getting either the 360 or the PS3 because they are not backwards compaitible, from what I have heard. I don't want to spend another two months income getting a new systems and enough games to keep us entertained!

Okay, so I think I solved this one: I found out today that there is going to be a Battlestar Galactica game for XBox 360 so there's no choice now. IF I buy 360 or PS3, it will be 360 ;)

As for being able to play Xbox games on the 360, there is a list of the ones that can be played, which will automatically do a download thru Xbox live to make them compatible.

Oh that is soooo not fair!!! i have always been a loyal Playstation..gamer?
And i have had quite a few goes with the 360 but as of yet i'm just waiting for the ps3 to come down abit in price before i get it. But Bsg on 360? i hope it's not only just on 360. Like HALO. Was so excited when i heard they were finally bringing out HALO 2 on the P.C but then i found out you needed Vista to run it. Rats!
And HALO 3 on 360 only... mmmm wonder if i could have both....

We used to have PS1 and 2, but my step-son now has an Xbox 360. The quality is really good on the X-box, haven't seen the P3, but he said he preferred the X-box and he knows what he's talking about, so it must be better

I've always been a playstation boy and man so at the moment i'm leaning towards PS3, but i have heard some very good things about the 360. so i guess i'm still sittting on the fence..... Gonna wait till GTA IV comes out before i buy either.

To get back to the XBox-PLaystation thing, I think that XBox would be the better choice. Why? Because it has Microsoft behind it. There are far more games for the XBox and a few of the really decent ones are exclusively marketet for that console.
Me, being a PC purist, would probably never buy either of them, but if I had to make a choice, I would decide on the XBox.

*raises hand*

Xboxes break if you get trapped in the cable without realising and keep walking and then said Xbox falls on floor

Massive design flaw there, if you ask me.

I chose the PS3. Why? I like the name. That is all. Ever since the x-box was released it just sounded off. X-Box! It's a box of X!... or a box that you X... or it just has an X on it. The X is way, way overused. Then when the sequal version came out instead if numbering it, or giving it a whole new name the called it the 360. It's a box of X... that is a complete circle! Yay!
I like the playstation 3 because A) It's a game station that you play and
B) it's the third version. We have the PS1, the PS2, now the 3. Chances are the next gen will be the Playstation 4. The gods know what the next X-box will be called.

Hey. I'm a simple man with simple tastes.

Simplicity is beauty.
