Rock Band for Wii

New postby Raven Kai » Sun Oct 26, 2008 6:04 pm

Okay, this is going to be soo weird to confess but here I go.

My son spent the weekend with a friend from school. Originally it was just supposed to be overnight but on my way to pick him up the next day, he texted me and asked if he could stay longer. Well, I was 2 blocks away so I showed up anyway to talk about what he wanted rather they try to text it back and forth and they invited me in because they wanted to show off Rock Band. After a couple of songs, I notice that Roxanne by the Police is on the list. I say, 'Awsome. Love that song.' so his friend selects it because 'i can play that on expert'. Chris hands me the mic and says I should sing it but I resisted. Still, I couldn't help but sing along. After his friend Trey had demonstrated his mad guitar skillz, they restarted the song in Duo mode and handed me the mic. ..... "Dang, now I know where Chris gets his voice"

I scored a 100% and 1st place on my first try. ROFL. So, they wanted to trade up guitar players and I was made to sing it again. On expert settings, I scored a 100% and Flawless. LOL.

So, it was fun. I'm thinking once I get settled in Edmonton and have a few paychecks under my belt, I'll look for a Wii on ebay or something. :D

lol

...Because it is a Wii? :)

i kid. I'm not big on the console wars thing. Like Yahtzee says, each has its own unique thing.

I'm surprised by you, Raven. A hidden talent? I always assume people sing as well as i do - horribly. We'll have to try and convince you to sing for us, no? <3

edit. i don't know if that's the right Yahtzee link, too hard to dig for the real one I wanted. sorry.

I love ROCKBAND!!! I either want to get an Xbox or a Wii for it, but i can't decide which one. Plus it's hard to decide when I have two really good friends from film who are on opposite opinions of it, even though one of them has both consoles! lol...in March i plan to get one!

All you need now is a friend with a Playstation.

It's all about personal choice. The Wii's gaming lineup looks to be rather limited, but the motion sensor tech looks interesting.

(Yeah, I just woke up. that didn't even make sense to me)

When I had the choice i went with the Xbox, due to the fact it had several other games slated for release that appealed to me.

the interactive gaming that you can do with the Wii is its biggest draw card for me... I've played it at parties before and it's great fun...
Don't worry mate it made perfect sense to me... I might just get all of them... eventually.

I've played the Wii drunk!

Especially Mario Party and somehow i always turn it into a drinking game ....

Yeah I'm not lying about this, i get really wasted when i play the Wii, and i always choose Princess Peach and then i start mocking her to the point that i sound a lot like her and make her sound like a dirty whore... ....  ... it is really hard to play those games with the consoles when drunk... i was in a car and was driving in circles and in the opposite way... but after that I was surprisingly doing well... actually when i drink and play Rockband i go from a 65% average (sober) to an 85-90% average.... and i can walk in a straight line! Wow... i really think I'm messed up... oh and i don't always drink when i play these consoles, even though it sounds like it...

Actually i do have friends with Playstation, i never found it that interesting... i like the Wii and the Xbox, i like them both... i just can't decide which to get.... first, lol.

Yahtzee doesn't put much stock in the Wii.

Good idea, Raven. Don't look at me though. ;)

I don't think you're meant to understand. And he flashes images in the video a lot quicker. But he's got some good game reviews.

I love my Wii!! I bought Wii Fit and Wii DDR and they are both really cool. Next game has got to be one that two friends have, EA Sports 'Active' it just looks soooo good.

Keeping me fit as I seriously need to tone up...

I haven't played any actual games on it, not sure I'll really like any tbh unless they were as cool as Oblivion

Rock Band?? I'll check it out next time I go to the shop, sounds cool...
